The two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDBM) Of Birla Institute of Management Technology is the flagship programme of the Institute. This program is a two year, full time residential program The number of applicants admitted to this programme is limited to 120. .

The PGDBM continually challenges the students to be prepared for tomorrow. Courses are redesigned every year with feedback from the industry. New courses are introduced at an impressive rate each year. This helps in incorporating the latest concepts and paradigms into the curriculum even as the world is awakening to the need. The programme lays the foundation for conceptual and analytical reasoning, and gives the students an insight into the dynamics of the business environment

The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management lasts six trimesters, spread over two years, with a summer project in between the two years for eight weeks. The sixth trimester is the final project or on job training

The first year students are exposed to basic concepts in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Personnel Management and Human Resources Management, Quantitative methods, Operations and Behavioral Sciences through the ‘core courses’. These lay the foundation for all the functional areas of management help develop problem solving skills.
In the second year, students go in for dual specialization. Marketing is an area which every one has to be trained and other area is their choice. BIMTECH offers specialization in Finance, Human Resource, Operations, Strategy, IT and Rural Management.
